On-demand financial wellness solution taps proven business leader and healthcare technology entrepreneur for its executive team
Birmingham, AL – Aug. 24, 2020 – Immediate, a financial wellness company, today announced that Mason Beard will join the company as chief strategy officer. A healthcare technology entrepreneur, Beard brings more than 20 years of business management and product strategy experience to Immediate where he will help advance people’s financial health.
Beard previously served as head of marketing and product strategy for population health management at Philips, where he was responsible for developing and accelerating the business line’s vision while helping providers and healthcare organizations deliver high quality care. Prior to Philips, Beard spent 12 years as chief product officer for Wellcentive, a population health management software company he co-founded, which was acquired by Philips in 2016.
“After spending almost two decades working to improve healthcare delivery and outcomes, I am excited to take on this new challenge of helping improve people’s financial health,” said Beard. “Millions of Americans are living paycheck to paycheck, often with only predatory lenders to turn to when they need to cover a financial obligation, whether that’s a hospital bill or groceries to put food on the table. Financial health is critical to our overall health. The Immediate team wants to help every American gain the ability to take control of their financial wellbeing. I am eager to take on that mission with them.”
“When you’re growing a business at a rapid pace like we are, putting the right people in place from a leadership perspective is of the utmost importance,” said Matt Pierce, Immediate’s founder and CEO. “I’ve known Mason for a decade and have always held him in the highest regard. We are thrilled to have him join our leadership team and look forward to the value he brings to this organization as we strive to positively impact the financial wellness of millions of Americans.”
